I –day art courses for adults, at either Red Wharf Bay, Anglesey or River Dee in Chester. May to October 2010



Come and explore these beautiful locations on one of our summer 1-day workshops. These workshops are suitable for all abilities and the small group size allows for plenty of personal tuition to enable you to really develop your ideas and technique.

8.30am arrive coffee & introductions
9.00am discussion ‘How artists have visualised seascape’
9.30am drawing charcoal & graphite in sketchbooks & photographs
10.30am Coffee & discussion
11.00am drawing with coloured chalks in sketchbooks
12.30pm LUNCH:
1.30pm colour mixing & drawing onto canvas
2.30pm paint on canvas
3.30pm tea break & discussion
4.00pm continue painting
5.30pm discussion
6.00pm end

You will need to bring:

sketchbook
camera
canvas
brushes
acrylic paints

Anglesey Location:
Nearest town: 3 miles from the very picturesque town of Beaumaris, with its castle and views across the straights to Snowdonia.
Nearest station: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (LlanfairPG)15mins drive (pick-ups can be arranged).

Chester Location:
1 mile from the Chester city centre, with its unique Tudor Rows and surrounding Roman walls overlooking the Welsh hills.
Nearest station: Chester 5 mins drive (pick-ups can be arranged)
